Building energy consumption simulation is necessary for the design of building energy saving, the basis of which is reliable hourly data of a whole year. This dissertation aims to analysis on sensitivity of building energy consumption simulation to meteorological data, in order to supply a reference to the select of meteorological data used in building energy consumption. The monthly average data of American TMY2&DeST and original observation data are compared in this paper, and the result clarifies that the temperature data is basically correct, but the error of radiation data is large. Based on ten years observation data from 1991 to 2000, the typical months of Beijing, Chengdu, Kunming and Xi' an are screened out, then the typical years of these four cities are formed. The energy consumption of a stoandard house model building is calculated recurring to DeST-h, and the meteorological data of 7 nature years' observation data, typical year's data developed by the author, typical year data of Tsinghua University and TMY2 data. It indicated that the difference of energy consumption received from different meteorological data is large, and the largest number is 84.15 %.
