Sand pebble soil was distributed more and widely in Sichuan region, having properties of compactability, high shear strength, difficult to liquefaction and so on. It is got in the construction engineering extensively. Therefore it is very important to carry on experiment for dynamic characteristics of sand pebble soil as to it's upper part structure and the foundation basal stabilities. But aiming at the research that the characteristics of the sand pebble soil still not too much, and the theories studying was behind the practices in construction, so research of dynamic characteristic for this kind of soil has become an important topic which needs to carry on urgently to.The thesis summarized domestic and international present condition and result concerning the dynamic characteristic research of coarse grain soil in recent years. This paper carried on dynamic triaxial experiment on sand pebble soil in order to explore into dynamic strength and liquefaction, stress-strain relation, dynamic elastic modulus and damping ratio these 3 properties and the regulation of them with content, confining pressure, confining pressure ratio and vibration frequency. From the test data analysis, the thesis achieve the basic dynamic form within the research scope, which can provide parameter for the finite element imitate analysis, meanwhile offer consult to engineering design and construction.
