The reinforced-soil is a kind of technology to improve soil's engineering property, such as anti-pull property by embedding material with high tension strength. Reinforced-soil structure is the construction that emerged accompanies with infrastructures, such as railroad conveyance, highway conveyance, the civicism construction and port...etc. Generally speaks, its theory was put forward in 1965 by Henri Vidal, a French engineer. From its birth day, reinforced-soil structure, a kind of novel and complete structure got the value of international engineering field, academic circles and developed very quick. It has been called "compound material that bring benefit to the mankind's", because of its notable economy, extensive applicability and better technique.Though the application of the reinforced-soil structure has already caused the personage pays the biggest attention at the domestic and international geotechnical engineering field, the fact is undisputable that its theory research is lagged its engineering practice, the study is still on the stage to accumulate original data. The study on dynamic behavior of reinforced-soil is of importance with its widely application. However, the existing literature about the dynamic behavior of reinforced-soil mostly limits in that of the reinforced earth retaining wall which is just an numerical analysis, the test study is hard to see. This is not enough in depth and width to overall understanding the reinforced-soil structural.According to above consideration, a DDS-70 dynamic triaxial apparatus is used to investigate the dynamic behavior of the reinforced-soils with various reinforcing material, methods, and densities. The main work involves three aspects: testing and analyzing the dynamic elastic modulus of reinforced-soil; testing and analyzing the damping ratio of reinforced-soil; testing and analyzing the dynamic strength property of reinforced-soil. Some conclusions are summarized as follows:1. The dynamic behavior of reinforced-soil is relation with soil density, confining pressure, reinforcing pattern and the reinforcing material.2. The relations of dynamic stress and dynamic strain of reinforced-soil is similar to that of pure soil, they are agree well with the hyperbola model. The type of reinforcing materials, show no obvious effection on the relationship.3. The dynamic elastic modulus of the reinforced-soil decreases with strain increasing, and increases with confining pressure. The relationship between modulus and strain is exponential decay.4. The damping ratio of one layer reinforced-soil is larger than that of two layers reinforced soil. And the damping ratio increases with densities.5. The dynamic cohesion of reinforced-soil increases obviously, but its dynamic internal friction angle is unchanged compared with pure soil. The dynamic cohesion of one layer reinforced-soil is higher that of two layer reinforced-soil.6. The dynamic strength of reinforced-soil is influenced obviously by type of reinforcing material. The testing results show that the dynamic strength of the soil reinforced by soft steel is the highest and that reinforced by hard steel is the lowest among the three reinforcing materials. However, the maximum dynamic elastic modulus and damping ratio of reinforced-soil don't show some relation with the type of reinforcing materials.
