The highway is the national important infrastructure, its completeness, operating efficiency and service level have important influence to the nationaleconomy development. Along with the fast development of economy, our countryhighway construction has also obtained the huge achievement. The constructionspeed of highwayincreases rapidly, at the same time, the path qualityexaminationdutyaggravatesdaybyday, andtheload ofroads evaluationalsoincreases quicklyin the maintenance.Traditional method has many disadvantages, such asinefficiency, tiring, slow speed of evaluation etc. Especially, the number ofmeasuring point is too little to give accurate and comprehensive result of theinterior recessive diseases of highway. Beside this, the traditional method leadsdestructiontotheroadsurface, whichwillexacerbatethedeteriorationofhighway. In avoid not to affecting the normal travel and not to destroying the pavementstructure, it is urgently to apply nondestructive evaluation (NDE) techniques tocontrol quality of highway construction and to estimate the running conditionaccurately. The NDE techniques of highway have to satisfy the followingqualification: mapping the shape, size and depth of flaw precisely; having nodamages to the road structure; being capable of carrying out examination in widerange;beingeasytoequipandoperate;beinginsulatetotheenvironmentinfluence.Theintelligenceintegrationevaluationvehicleforroadbedandpavement(IIEVRP)is just the comprehensive NDE technique that can satisfy the demands above, which can implement detection of highway rapidly and nondestructively. Thistechnique is significant for controlling the project quality and developing ourcountrymeasuretechnique. As a part of the IIEVRP, the ground penetrating radar (GPR) can accomplishnondestructive detection to the road structure underground. It is one kind ofadvanced shallow geophysical survey technology which analyzes and inferencesthe medium structure underground according to the characteristic of the amplitude, waveform and frequency of the high-frequency, short pulse electromagnetic wavewhichlaunchedand receivedbyGPR.There are manyadvantagesof GPR,suchas...
