The parametrization is one of the new generation intellectualization, integrated CAD system core technologies. In the new product developping and designning process, the product structure basic analysis situs form will not have big change in majority. New products may quickly developped with the parametric modeling technology. Though different vehicle bodys are various different, all base in the certain shape foundation. Based on this, the body parametric design has the very big usability and necessity. First it may reduce greatly work of assembly model;second it may convenient get the new body by simple change. This has the vital significance on reducing new vehicle type development cycle and enhancing the product market competitive.Based on deeply studying B spline curve and the parametric function of UG, We decide the fundamental thought of realizing body parameterization. That is, we use points' parameterization to realize B spline curves' parameterization, then use parametric curves to drive parametric surface, and make the whole model change by surface's change.Finally, we develop visual module with parametric function by using the further development function of UG and relative technique of VC++ 6.0.
