To position the slot of turbogenerator's distributed polar rotor where shorted turns occur, a novelty scheme was proposed and it relied on the method of on-line field research coil devised by Britisher Albright, combining prevailing digital signal processing technology– Wavelet Transform to process obtained fault signal, and applied so-called Mallat algorithm to reconstruct detailed portion on high frequency bandwidth, therefore it could correctly locate singularity that appears on the measured potential signal to diagnose faulting slot correspondingly, and integrated efficient diagnosis program at high-speed floating point DSP chip so as to produce a set of dynamic identification system for inter-turns short fault. Experiment conclusion proves the theory correct and feasible finally.
