Study On CDM Application In Ventilation Air Methane Generation Of Chinese Coalmines

In order to handle the problem of global warming, UNFCCC introduces CDM to reduce the emission of GHG (greenhouse gas). There is a great potential in the development of Chinese VAM (ventilation air methane) CDM projects. However, for CDM has only developed for a short period and the methane extraction at each coalmine is various and complex, no relative baseline methodology has been approved by EB yet, which becomes a bottleneck to coalmine gas CDM projects.The thesis introduces the main contents of the several applied baseline methodologies of coalmine methane drained utilization CDM projects, analyses their weaknesses, and gives out a baseline of VAM generation of Chinese coalmines.
