Due to the poor starting performance of normal squirrel-cage induction motor, its starting torque is low and acceleration is slow which results in long starting time when the normal squirrel-cage induction motor started with heavy load. Those will harm the motor and restrict the improvement of the motor capacity with electricity loss. The twin-stator squirrel-cage induction motor with appended interspaced resistor rotor presented in this paper has the structure of the normal squirrel-cage induction motor and the advantage of the coil rotor induction motor which starts by bunching resistor. It is similar with normal induction motor with high efficiency and power factor while operation with the adoption of parallel star-shape connection and nonparticipation of appended interspaced resistor. During starting stage the adoption of unique serial triangle connection with the participation of appended interspaced resistor improves the starting performance with the character of low start current and high start torque.The induction of the static and dynamic math model under serial and parallel connection based on the motor electromagnetism theory and general motor theory is presented in this paper. The equivalent circuit diagram is achieved by static math model and the motor performance calculation formula is achieved by solving the equivalent circuit diagram. After laboring the demerit of brief equivalent circuit diagram with proper improvement referring to the asynchronous motor electromagnetism calculation program Version 1971, the electromagnetism calculation program is induced based on the precision equivalence circuit and programmed using Visual Basic with specific example calculation. The dynamic and state equation of the motor is achieved by dynamic math model and based on that the simulation program using MATLAB simulates the starting progress, the results demonstrates that the motor has the eminent starting performance as low current, high torque, short period etc. also the design value conforms to the simulation value which prove the validity of the theoretical analysis.
