In order to resolve a large number of problems in underwater acoustics engineering, we used acoustics pressure hydrophone and array since a long time. In peacetime, the hydrophone what is called is acoustics pressure hydrophone. The description and principle of various acoustic phenomena are based on acoustics pressures. However, along with the people keep on researching of underwater acoustics scientific, the many problems cann't be resolved by depend on underwater acoustics pressure hydrophone and array. For example, underwater acoustics intensity measurement, localling of special noise source and radiation power. How to measure correctly underwater acoustics intensity, local of special noise source and measure correctly radiation power, we must be to seeking another settling approach. Quickly, vector hydrophone is become efficacious settling approach to resolve above problems.The acoustics vector hydrophone included usually acoustic particle velocity sensor and acoustic pressure grads sensors. It can be separated into mechanical type and inertial type underwater acoustic vector hydrophone. Fixed shell type vector hydrophone belong to mechanical type acoustic vector hydrophone, however moving shell type vector hydrophone belong to inertial type acoustic vector hydrophone. This paper is described three dimensions inertial type underwater acoustic vector hydrophone. This vector hydrophone is formed by piezoelectric accelerometers, preamplifiers, mass block, filling material, flexibility components and frame.The theory of acoustic particle velocity sensors and acoustic pressure grads sensors is described particularly by this paper. Research emphases is three dimensions inertial type underwater acoustic vector hydrophone. We make a theory analysis of mechanical model of inertial type underwater acoustic vector hydrophone. We indicated that resonance frequency of piezoelectric accelerometers is treble of upper frequency range of vector sensors, weight of mass block is decuple of piezoelectric accelerometers, density of sphere is 1.0 to 1.1(g/cm~3), then it is neutrally buoyant sensor, resonance frequency of elastics suspension elements is very low than lower of frequency range of vector hydrophones.
