We lab built the sequential turbocharging test-bed based on TBD234V12 diesel engine to study the turbocharging system characters. This paper lays great importance on the design of the monitor and control program.According to the command of the test-bed, the test-bed structure had been designed and its intake and exhaust system had been redesigned. The related components of the diesel had been layouted too.In order to choose the matching superchargers, a calculating model is set up to simulate TBD234V12 sequential turbocharging(STC) diesel engine, and then the supercharge is chosed by calculating the model through software of GT-POWER.The key hardware of monitor and control system is designed through singlechips to transmit by CAN-BUS, with every measure point as a node of the CAN-BUS. The communication between CAN-BUS and industry control personal computer is achieved by Com-CAN adapters. Systems based on CAN-BUS have abilities like expansion, error allowing and reliability.The monitor and control program is developed on Visual C++ which is an excellent product of Microsoft Corp. And the program can be running on the Windows environment. During the designing of software, the OOP(Object Oriented Programming) method is adopted. The functions of monitor and control system include serial communication, data sampling and showing in real time, data saving, data printing, data showing through curve graph, alarm by sound and lamp, etc. In order to improve the running effective and data managing, the technology of multi-thread and database is also used.At last, the functions of monitor and control system are tested.
