Abstract/Summary:
Reducing the exhaust temperature of the submarine diesel is an important measure to achieve infrared stealth in the underwater exhaust state of the submarine. Underwater exhaust, may also bring the water out of shipboard intrusion into diesel through exhaust pipe, and lead to the devastating accidents. In view of the factors that how to reduce significantly the exhaust temperature, prevent water pour backward and reduce the exhaust noise, the present theses presented a water spraying silencer. It sets nozzles into the silencer and takes spraying to cool the exhaust, installs water surface detector to drain automatically and also prevents water pour inversely. For the application of engineering, this paper studies some issues that the device will face in the practical applications such as space limitations, deep hydraulic pressure and seawater eroding. The main performance parameters of the water spraying silencer including temperature reducing aim, resistance losses, transmission losses and the required cooling water usage are also calculated. The temperature measurement devices of the original test bed are rebuilt and a cooling water system is added. Finally, a number of simulation experiments are carried out on this basis. Experimental results show that the water spraying silencer has a significantly cooling effect, low resistance loss and good acoustic attenuation characteristics. Experimental system can achieve accurate measurement parameters, and the measurement results are reasonably credible.
