Base on aiming at the receiving, processing and analysis of Echo Data from 881A Digital Sonar Head and the image data from cameras, the work of the thesis is concentrated on compressing and encrypting processing, and do comparison and analysis on the results, in order to figure out the comparative good encoding method for specifically data.First, the paper has done the compression of the Echo Data as well the image data from cameras. Three common compression methods have been adopted in this thesis: Huffman, AC and Run-length encoding. And all of them are lossless compression base on static statistical model.In the next place, by using those compression methods, 3 separate results are gained. Consequently, the relevant comparisons and analysis are offered. The comparison is main focuses on the processing results (compression ratio indeed) about the same data and the different data, simultaneously, the factor of difficulty of achievement of those methods (measured by time spent) is considered as well, and some theoretical explain and analysis are given, and at last a judgment is made on the choice of compression methods.Finally, the attempt on data encryption has been made for potential request of secrecy. The traditional DES (Date Encryption Standard ) has been adopted, and it works well.In addition, all the work in this paper are accomplished by means of C and C++, and use VC++6. 0 for debugging, and the program runs well in the windows system.
