Research On The Wireless Communication Technology Based House Control System

With the development of technology and advancement of people's living quality, people turn to pay more attention on life's security, comfort, convenience etc. The improvements of technology have quickened the coming of information age. Especially in the field of intelligent house, home, as the information terminal, has gradually shown its important effect, and there's more and more expectation on the products of intelligent house control systems.This paper includes the intelligent home's derivation, development and achievements nowadays. We observe that the tools of mobile communications are commonplaces now and the traditional appliances still play the main role at home. So, according to our analysis and demonstration on the related technology, we proposed the method of communication between house and the outside through mobile communication, and used the technology of infrared communication to realize the inside appliances communication and appliances control. Here, we present the overall design of our wireless based intelligent home control systems. Parts of the system which have been realized are shown below:1. To meet clients'needs of remote control and querying the appliances'information, we established the home control protocol, which is compatible with the Modbus protocol.2. We completed the SMS sending and receiving through ETPro-201Ai GPRS MODEM (in language C, under Linux) and realized the communication between mobile phone and home control system according to the self-established house control protocol.3. We got to know the theory of MMS sending and the packet structure and took part in related programming.4. We analyzed appliances'infrared control protocol, and used the self-learning method to realize the remote control of the infrared controlled appliance.5. We completed the self-learning, house appliance control, house monitor and house guard modules and their related programming on the PIC16F877 single processor.
