Pneumatic marker is an important assistant tool widely used in the fields of auto, motor, machine and aero industry, and it can make products be effectively managed and identified in manufacturing and utilization. The pneumatic marker is researched on the principle of economy, practicality, reliability and conveniency in this paper.Firstly, the importance and necessity to study pneumatic marker is explained, the status quo in the home and abroad is studied, and most pneumatic marker systems adopting the style of sending pulse through computer LPT to the driver are found in this paper.After analyzing, these problems of faintish anti-jamming ability, discommodious operation and easily arousing serious aftereffects such as precision losing are uncovered. So the movement control of pneumatic marker is analyzed, a more particular subdivision table is designed, and an instruction pneumatic marker's control and drive apparatus based on serial communication which contains computer, control and drive apparatus and marker body is proposed,.The principle of work of this pneumatic marker is that: â‘  the control instructions are translated from the graphs and words by the functional software in the computer. â‘¡ these control instructions are sent to the control and drive apparatus through the RS232 serial port. â‘¢ the control and drive apparatus checks and stores the control instructions. If the checkout result is right, it sends the pulse to the stepping motor to complete the interpolation task.Secondly, the key technologies of this research are the hardware and software design of the pneumatic marker control driver and correct real-time serial communication. The control driver can perform controlling and driving functions simultaneously and is composed of serial communication, power module, fan, temperature measuring instrument and electromagnetism control circuit. The embedded software includes modules of main program, initialization, serial communication, instruction parsing â… , instruction parsing â…¡, instruction parsing â…¢, movement handling and automatic replacement. Two arrays are defined in the serial communication subprogram: one is used to receive the instructions, and the other is used to store instructions. This can solve the problem of discontinuous mark caused by the slowness of serial port.
