Study On The Outer Space Of Mountain Campus Designing

With the fast development of the urbanization and modernization, advanced education is facing the new opportunities to advanced development. Many universities have made the campus enlarged, rebuilt and constructed. The mountain university construction is always the important part of the university construction, and the outer space design of the mountain university is also the main aspect. With the terrain restriction, the contradiction in the design of the outer space is more obvious and peculiar. This thesis focuses on how to deal with the relationship among the increasing space need, space structures and landscape architecture of the campus and environment protection in the limited range.Through analyzing the character of the space of the mountain university and summing up the problems of the surroundings, this thesis concludes the main factors which influence the outer space design of the mountain university. Basing on the theories of urban design, behaviorism, engineering, and landscape architecture, the paper does systematic research on the design method of outdoor space in mountain university which can distinguish the unique character of mountain areas, then puts forward the design tactics of it outdoor space in mountain university.Firstly, the paper looks back to the history and actuality of development of mountain university and its outdoor space. It points out the development of outdoor space has experienced a process of concentration to dispersion then to integration, and will develop harmoniously with nature in the future. Then it puts forward that there are some problems to be improved instantly.Besides, the article analyses deep into the components of the outdoor space of mountain university and its characteristics. Beginning with the natural characters of mountain areas, the paper does some research on unique elements that mountain gives outdoor space of mountain university and the factors effecting it. Then it points out that the important factors that lead to the change of it includes : natural factors such as geology, topography, climate, hydrology, vegetation; humanistic factors such as local culture, campus culture and behavioral psychology; new thoughts and technology.Furthermore, based on the above, this paper sets forth some designing methods of outdoor space which can outstand the characteristics of the mountain areas. It then presents that the design of outdoor space should firstly get a general understanding of the space structure, layout, hierarchy and contour under the guidelines of ecology, humanism, integrity and individualism, then do some deep research on the design tactics pointed at the specific object.
