Monitoring and fault diagnosis of equipment have been the research hotspot in the industry field. On the one hand, the demand of safety, stabilization,running at full load and reliability is upgraded step by step; On the other hand, the technology of network, computer and signal analysis and processing have applied wildly and successfully. It makes the technology of monitoring and fault diagnosis developed quickly nowadays. The mode of long-distance monitoring and fault diagnosis based on network is paid more attention by the domestic and overseas. Under such background, combined with the development and practice of monitoring and diagnosis of the dust-removing fan of cast house of pudding plant of Wuhan Iron & Steel Corporation, we do some interrelated research about the realized technology of monitoring and diagnosis of the dust-removing fan basically in the aspect of application combined with interrelated theory and technique. We analyze the key technique and discuss the issues that need to be solved deeply.(1) The realized technology of monitoring and diagnosis system based on network application environment is researched profoundly. We analyze and compare the strongpoint and defect of Client/Serve mode with the ones of the Browser/Server mode that are the common realized mode of long-distance monitoring and diagnosis and put forward the building of such a system based on the B/S mode. Combined with the characteristics and concretely applied demand of the long-distance monitoring and diagnosis system, we put forward the overall designed idea of such system, devise the whole function framework of the system which is composed with several subsystems, such as the local data acquisition system, long-distance on-line monitoring system, long-distance signal analysis and fault diagnosis system etc. And we analyze and devise the function of each part.(2) The function of long-distance monitoring system is monitoring the running state of fan comprehensively, judging normality or abnormality of the monitoring signal. If the error state is appeared, the warning alarm is presented. The realization of the long-distance monitoring module is analyzed and discussed. Long-distance monitoring is the basic of diagnosis afford the original and important gist for the long-distance prediction and fault diagnosis. The function and framework of the monitoring system are researched. We discuss how to utilize JAVA and database technique to fulfill the long-distance monitoring interfaces, fault alarm etc.(3) Long-distance fault diagnosis system contains two subsystems: long-distance signal analyzing system and Long-distance fault diagnosis system. Research how to use several methods synthetically such as the time domain analysis, frequency domain analysis, time & frequency domain analysis that can extract the characteristics of the signal exactly. And it help customers to diagnose the fault conveniently.
