Rolling bearing is the most commonly used component in the rotating machinery and is one of the most easily damaged components.The quality's badness or goodness of rolling bearing can directly influence the running of the whole machinery system.Firstly,this paper analyses the fault mechanism and fault characteristics of rolling bearing.Secondly, it introduces all kinds of methods of signal analysis ,the traditional time-domain analysis,spectrum analysis and wavelet transform,envelope demodulation,etc.Aimed at all kinds of methods of time-frequency analysis currently,this paper emphasizes on introducing the HHT method ,which deeply depicts the relationship between time and frequency and gets the time-frequency-energy figure of the analysed signal using the integration of EMD and Hilbert transform.On the base of these theories , we do a test of the vibration signal between the right bearing and the fault bearing on the rolling bearing experiment platform respectively.And we get a satisfied result through comparing all kinds of vibration signal analysis methods.The experiment result indicates that the fault signal of rolling bearing is mainly the amplitude-modulated signal and the fault characteristics are consistent on theory and on the experiment analysis.This paper validatess that the HHT method is validate and feasible on the rolling bearing fault diagnosis...
