So far, the contact fatigue strength design of involute cylinder gearing is base on Hertz theory, however, in practice people find that transmission of gear can realize elastohydrodynamic lubrication in some condition, and also, film thickness, distribution of pressure and temperature directly influence surface adhesion of teeth, contact fatigue. Meanwhile, in transmission of gear, load, velocities and curvature vary, moreover, lubricant is not Newtonian fluid in some conditions, in addition, might produce high temperature. So the meshing of gear is typical and complicated where non-stationary conditions exist. Therefore, the current study is of both theoretical significances and practical values.Firstly this paper summaries former investigation, as following considers transient, thermal and non Newton effects, develops a mathematical model for the transient thermo-elastohydrodynamic lubrication of the transmission of gear.
