Material Level Meter is an important and indispensable instrument in the industrial production. To the questions of the current measurements: the dated Material Level equipment, low Material Level precision and the effect from the surroundings impact on the measuring methods, on the basis of the existing measurement method, a new method which adopt LFMCW (Linear Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) radar is present to do Material Level measurements. LFMCW radar adopts LPI (low Probability of Intercept) signals, and it fits in with very simple fixed radar. It has been applied in the Navy tactical navigation radar, small munitions sensors, car radar and other fields. FM continuous wave technology has a very long history, but in the past is has been restricted to specific fields, such as radio altimeter, and now the technology has aroused people's attention again.
