According to the four highway engineering geological subarea of the loess region, based on a great deal of indoor experiments and existing engineering data, the main physical and mechanical property index of each loess area were re-counted, and the district variational regulation of the loess physical and mechanical property were studied in order to get the characteristic parameter of the loess soil property index providing precious foundation data for the highway engineering construction of the loess region.Based on the probability statistics analysis to the main physical and mechanical property index in each area of the loess, the result shows that the average, standard deviation and variational coefficient of the soil parameter have a very strong local area characteristic and the actual geotechnical engineering design must be conducted according to the soil characteristics of the local area, and the variability of the physical index is widespread less than its mechanical index of the loess, and the physical and mechanical property index of the loess distributing obey much to the standard normal distribution, so that all of the indexes can fit with the standard normal distribution closely in the loess slope design.Based on the study of the variational regulation of the loess soil property parameter along the depth, it is considered that the statistical data of the loess physical and mechanical property index are inhomogeneous and the average is the linear transformation along the depth. A large error will be taken place when the soil is regarded as statistical analysis evenly, and the soil parameter has deep relationship with the linear relativity of the depth.Based on the study of the loess spatial self correlation of the soil property parameter,...
