The development of the railway transportation tremendously accelerates national economy developing. With the development of the opening to the world and the national economy, raising travel speed and heavy haul are developmental tendency of the railway transportation. High speed and heavy haul made vehicle and track vibrate more swiftly. At the same time, the noise is increasingly getting worse and worse, and has some bad effects on the health of the passengers and people who live near the railway. Aimed at the current problems, the dynamic force of wheel/ track and the dynamic response of sleeper for high frequency are virtually discussed in this paper. In this paper, the coupling thought of vehicle/track is applied, based on the vertical vehicle/track coupling model, the finite element beam model of sleeper instead of the mass model of sleeper for high frequency is developed to investigate the vertical vibration of vehicle/track in this paper. The differential equation of vehicle/track vibration are derived, Runge-Kutta method and Newmark method are made better of to obtain the dynamic response of rail and sleeper. A simulation program is designed for the dynamic system by using Visual-Fortran. On the same condition, the result of simulation is compared with those of the mass of sleeper model to verify the program valid. Under the excitation of some irregularities such as dipped joint, harmonious wave etc, the results of simulation for final frequency 5000Hz are analyzed. Additionally, the influence of wheel/rail model for wheel/rail force, and the effect of sleeper supporting condition and sleeper physical nature on sleeper dynamic response are also discussed. In the prediction of sleeper radiation noise, the finite element beam model of sleeper is more suitable.
