As novel concept actuators, ultrasonic motors have been attracting intensive attention at home and abroad with their outstanding features such as low speed and high torque, large holding torque, rapid response, light weight and compact sizes, simple structure, and no magnetic disturbance, etc, and which have been applied to many fields. Standing wave ultrasonic motors have many outstanding features for simple drive and control circuit, stationary speed of rotation, smaller undulation, etc. On the basis of referring and analyzing a large quantity of literatures, the following work has been carried out.One exponential form transducer with rectangle cross-section are designed,which are presented in the dissertation, this kind of transducer fit output great power and make ultrasonic motor gain large amplitude effectively. We create a transducer model by software which name is Pro/E, then carry out solution by leading it in another software which name is Ansys. Not only we gain the size of the transducer, but also make nodal section locate in carriage , and make design more easy and exact.We lay undue emphasis on a new type standing wave ring ultrasonic motor which are presented in the dissertation, which characteristic is that three transducer work at the same time and stator is taper. and we also studied the principle of ultrasonic motor, and approved feasibility of its structure. We design the structure of the ultrasonic motor by finite-element method. We rounded analysis that ring stator'size parameter how to affect ring stator'characteristic frequency by use the software for numeric analysis, and afford theoretical foundation for the optimum design of ultrasonic motor'structural parameter.On the basis of theoretical research, we analysis and test and measurement the experimental result of ultrasonic motor, and analysis disadvantage factor how to affect the work of the ultrasonic motor, and test and measurement the relationship of speed with frequency and speed with voltage when the ultrasonic motor is no-load, and proved validity and reliability of theoretical analysis.
