Optical measurement systems are of increasing importance for research and industry .Today's laser sensors are rigid to withstand industrial environments. Surfaces are probed with respect to distance, velocity and surface structure. The particular advantages of laser sensors for distance and shape measurements are which has a simple structure, a litter volume, a light weight, a high resolving power, a large wore distance, and a high accuracy. It will not be affected by magnetic field as well and can measure on line. All these enable it to make up disadvantages of contact measurement completely.The paper deliberated over the theory of triangulation on distance measurement,and demonstrated the availability of triangulation equipment by deducing the Scheinpflug. Since the relation of output and input, we realized that system was nonlinear. The parameters of system were made sure by analyzing CCD. It brought forward some methods to reduce error of measurement by analyzing whether surface was inclined or not. We made out the response curve of triangulation and selected the average filter. As error of the curve was not random, we made error curve to offset the measurement.At last, uncertainty analysis was carried out and the feasibility of the methods adapted in Laser Triangulation System was proved.
