Magnetic Bearing (MB) is a kind of new typical mechatronics product which utilizes the electromagnetic attractive force exerting on a magnetic conductor to suspend a rotor without any contact. The broad application of magnetic bearing requests the controller for stronger function and flexible auto-adaptability. Early days, the simulation control was introduced in the magnetic bearings system. With the development of the computer technology and the digital signal processing technology, the digital control became gradually dominant in the technology of AMB control. The digital controller based on the DSP have many property of high operating speed, be easy to realize the complex control algorithm, and real time. To apply DSP to the digital control of magnetic bearing is the emphases of the paper.This dissertation mainly carried on the control system's analysis of axial magnetic bearing and software compilation based on the DSP controller hardware. First, the equations of motion of the one freedom MB-rotor system are deduced; each main module of the AMB system is analyzed in detail; the closed loop transfer function of the axial magnetic bearing control system is established. Second, the magnetic circuit of the axial magnetic bearing is analyzed; an axial magnetic bearing is designed. Taking the axial magnetic bearing designed as the controlled member, and the control system of magnetic bearing is simulated by MATLAB. Third, digital control system of one freedom MB based on DSP is built and main circuit of digital control is analyzed. The impact of several parameter of PID controller to control system is discussed. Finally, the control software of one freedom MB system is compiled using the DSP assembly language, and feasibility of the controller realization is appraised;then the sine signal and square-wave signal are processed by the control procedure of PID which was programmed, and the experimental result and the theoretical analysis are compared, obtaining the quite ideal control effect.
