Cold-formed rectangular tube-steel column for architecture structure is formed by roll cold-winding forming process and HF longitudinal seam weld. Cold-formed rectangular tube-steel column have been developed in recent years and it will be wildly used in many engineering areas such as building, bridge and so on. In the conventional steel structure, the column of architecture structure is made of welding box column. It has a great of operation capacity of welding and the inner diaphragm plate construction is difficult, which is adverse to industrialization of mass production. Although cold-formed rectangular tube-steel column is favorable to industrialization of mass production, the cold forming process increase the yield point and tensile strength, at the same time the cold forming process decrease the ductile behavior, so it's necessary to research the seismic behavior of cold-formed rectangular tube-steel column for architecture structure.Four groups of eight types of connection methods are suggested to be able to use for the joint of cold-formed rectangular tube-steel column and H-shaped beam by investigating the current research on the beam-to-column connection methods used at home and abroad, at the same time, a new type of connection is proposed in this article. Using the software of ansys, this thesis compares and analyzes the seismic behavior of the joint of cold-formed rectangular tube-steel column and H-shaped beam and the joint of welding box column and H-shaped beam, in order to research the influence for the cold forming process of the cold-formed rectangular tube-steel column.In order to demonstrate the validity and accuracy of cold-formed rectangular tube-steel column in integral construction, a two-span two-storey cold-formed rectangular tube-steel column frame and welding box column frame are analyzed. Nonlinear analysis shows that cold-formed rectangular tube-steel column has well resistant-seismic behavior.
