Concrete filled steel tube is a kind of high strength, high performance material, itis a high efficient construction technology, with high bearing capacity, goodplasticity, good toughness, economy, construction convenient and quick. In recentdecades, concrete filled steel tube structure, with its many prominent advantages, hasbeen widely applied in the construction of port engineering,high-rise buildings,Bridges, underground structure and achieved significant benefits.Japan hanshin earthquake in1995led to a subway underground engineering wasbadly damaged and even the wall and column were compression damage to groundsubsidence. The subway station as part of the lifeline engineering, its structure seismicperformance is particularly important. Given for people to evacuate, undergroundspace environment comfortable and beautiful sex requirement, the subway station tothe development trend of large space structures, and its seismic effect is an issue ofconcern.A Beijing subway station for large-span spatial structure of underground tunnel, the mechanical composition in addition to the floor, roof and side wall shear wall ofthe cylindrical structure, central pillar, with double row of concrete-filled steel tube Yfor large space. So far, the engineering application of pillar system adopts Y also notmuch. Some domestic airport selected it as the main bearing component. Due tothe subway station space is Higher, column spacing is further, and componentstructure, special steel tube concrete pillar Y are greatly influenced by the verticalshear stress and earthquake, become the key components of the structure of the space, the seismic safety is directly related to the whole structural system. Therefore, there isa need to carry on the seismic performance of research, for later similar engineering inthe design and construction provides referential experiences. The paper studied on a pseudo-static test for Y-shaped concrete-filled steeltubular column (CSTC),which used for underground space structure in a Beijingsubway station equipment public area. The design, production, installation of theCSTC and test program, the process and results of the test are mainly introduced inthis paper and the paper always gave the horizontal force-axial displacementhysteresis curve, skeleton curve, equivalent stiffness, equivalent damping ratio curve and the load-strain curve of the main location. The results and analysis ofexperimental showed that Y-shaped cast steel component, round tubular column andtop plate and other parts have a stable and reliable connection, which can ensure theoverall structure work performance is good; Hysteresis loop of the specimens are full, and the equivalent viscous damping ratio of Y-shaped CSTC increases with theincrease of the horizontal displacement, energy consumption is stable, specimen hasthe very good elastic-plastic deformation capacity and seismic performance. Throughthe measured strain we can confer the weak parts probably are the bottom of the steeltubular column, the joint of the Y-shaped cast steel component and round tubularcolumn, Y-shaped cast steel node bifurcation. In addition, on the basis of the pseudo static test, using the large general finiteelement software Abaqus to process nonlinear finite element modeling and analysis.By comparing the results of experiment and simulation, it is found that the results arethe same, further prove that the above view. Its can provide reference value forpractical design and construction, also can provides referential experience for laterresearch.
