The submersible pump is applied in the oil field more and more widely, the design of submersible motor which is the key component of submersible is very important. However, the submersible motor possesses especial structure: it adopts lathy structure of subsection of stator and rotor, each subsection of stator combines with non-magnetic core stamping, and each subsection of rotor combines with rotor bearing. There is full of appropriative lubricating oil in the aperture between stator and rotor, also the submersible motor works under several thousand meters of the oil well. All of these bring lots of problems to submersible motor's design, some parameters of submersible motor weren't given accurate result by traditional design means (analysis), the calculating method more efficiency and more adaptable is needed. This article calculates some parameters of submersible motor with electromagnetic FEM (numerical method). This paper analyses the magnetic field distribution in magnetic isolated segment using three-dimensional FEM, and calculates the eddy current loss of magnetic isolated segment. Against a special submersible motor, the three-dimensional model for calculating magnetic isolated segment eddy current loss is established with FEM software, for simplifying the calculation, the theory which simplifies the model is studied, and simplifies the three-dimensional model with the theory. The method of trial was introduced to confirm the boundary of model; the non-linear of magnetic conductivity of motor core is simplified on the premise of obtaining accurate result; the model also includes the shell of submersible motor. In this paper, the eddy current loss of magnetic isolated segment of the sample motor is obtained, the relationship between the size and the loss of magnetic isolated segment is analyzed. The results of this paper offer the gist for...
