With the rapid and stable development of China's economy, and the upgrading of overall national strength, the living standards of our nationals have been greatly improved, and people began to have ability to pay more attention to the quality of life, the pursuit of safe and healthy life. As one of the most basic consumption, food must be consistent with the quality of people's request. In addition to the"green"healthy food, people pursuit higher standards of eating environment. Meanwhile, the rapid economic growth has also created tremendous pressure to the environment. And bring a lot of environmental problems, such as air and water pollution, climate warming, resources shortage, energy depletion, and so forth. In order to secure a comfortable artificial environment, we consumed a great deal of energy. Thus the pursuit of lower energy consumption and high comfort of artificial ecological environment has also become our ideals.The greenhouse ecological restaurant appears under this background, and it is based on the greenhouse technology, using a variety of design and technical means for people to create a beautiful environment and comfortable eating-place. Large-scale, multi-species plant cultivation is the largest features of greenhouse ecological restaurants; provide people with opportunities to contact nature when they are eating.According to the greenhouse ecological restaurant development status, this paper first analyzed the problems and shortcomings of it. Then, with the reference of ecological architecture theory, the theory of ergonomics, facilities horticulture theory, landscape design theory, experience economic theory and other theories of knowledge, it provided theoretical basis for the greenhouse ecological restaurant design, and mentioned basic principles of the greenhouse ecological restaurant design and construction in the theoretical guiding basis, namely: the principles of sustainable development, local principles, people-oriented principles and aesthetic principles. With a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the greenhouse ecological restaurant, from the restaurant site, planning, the design, construction, management, and other elements, It highlighted the need for ecological design concept for the greenhouse ecological restaurant landscape design, from the features design, plant landscaping, lighting design and layout features four aspects to make detailed elaboration.
