In recent years, with the rapid development of the Chinese hydropower construction, many hydropower stations with high dam are or will be building. Flood discharge tunnel are usually built to discharge excessive flood which can't be discharged through the dam outlets. Because of the high water head and high flow speed, the aeration for preventing cavitation erosion becomes more and more important.The problems of high-speed flow inside the flood discharge tunnel with high dams can't been neglected. Thus during the period of the research, the study emphasis are capacity of flood discharge, the free space of upper section of the tunnel, the location of aeration establishment and the choice of its figure types, etc. Because of the complexity of the water flow with high velocity in the tunnel, at present there is a lack of quite perfect analytical method yet. Physical experiments are usually adopt to study the problem. generally for the large-scale hydraulic projects, Physical experiments are needed to verify and modify the design to ensure to make the design of the structure reasonable, economical and safe.But there are some disadvantages in physical model experiments, for example, the acquirement of incomplete information ,scale effect,disturbance for velocity field, need more time and hard work, etc. while it is easy for mathematical model to change various parameters, it is advantageous to transform comparison among many different plans, etc. in recent years,with the improvement of the calculating ability of the computer, studying flood... |
