Along with the wind power generation enterprise vigorous development, the wind power generation technology already became research hotspot of many countries all around the world. Because of no wind farm circumstance in the lab, it is hard to do the actual experiment except the theoretic analysis and the simulation of computer.In order to solve this problem, this paper proposed a project to imitate the actual output characteristic of wind turbine by using variable-frequency speed regulating induction motor. That is, instead of the wind turbine, an induction motor pulls the wind generation to research the wind power generation technology.Firstly, the wind speed mathematical model is established and the wind speed curve is drawn by simulating. Compared the simulating wind speed curve with the actual wind speed curve, a conclusion is drawn that the established model has accuracy and feasibility. Secondly, the wind turbine aerodynamic characteristic and theory of maximal wind energy absorption is analyzed, though which I obtain the model of the wind speed to wind turbine rotational speed and power. Input wind speed, then we can gain the value of the corresponding rotational speed, power and torque. Vector control strategy to induction motor is detailedly analyzed to imitate the wind wheel machine dynamic output characteristic by means of the vector control. Thirdly, the whole the wind turbine dynamic output characteristic system is designed. It is composed of computer, convertor, data communication card, induction motor, speed measure equipment and so on. It realized the simulation of the dynamic output characteristic of the wind turbine. Computer operation window program is made to input the wind speed parameter and the wind turbine parameter and monitor the running status (include wind speed curve, rotational speedcurve, torque curve and power curve). It can also preserve the current data to analyze after the experiment. Finally, the design is used to pull the 30kW wind generator, and gained the satisfactory results, which confirmed the feasibility and usability of the project of simulating wind turbine output characteristic by variable-frequency speed regulating induction motor.
