Shield machine technology is an advanced construct technology with the development of city densification, traffic, aqueduct, electric control and communication equipment, which integrates machinery, electric, hydraulic, measure and control technology. This technology has become the study focus in engineering field in the world with the rapid development of city constructions. Comparing with developed country, shield machine technology in our country drops behind, studying shield machine technology has far-reaching meaning to promote equipment manufacturing level, to enhance our independence innovation capacity.This paper depicted a survey of shield machine's history, domestic and international current status and it development trend, elucidated the meaning of its development in our nation. Based on the investigation and research on shield machine technology, and studying the hydraulic thrust control system of shield machine by reading, analyzing, summarizing lots of literatures and investigating at site. Referring to the simulation experiment platform of shield machine built by ZheJiang University and ShangHai Tunnel engineering corp., analyzing the work principle of the thrust hydraulic system and the thrust attitude control method of shield machine. This paper made use of the electro-hydraulic proportional control technology, adopting the principle of separate the ground control or grouping and unite control to control the velocity and pressure of thrust hydraulic cylinder to complete the shield machine attitude adjust in the course of its advance. Aimed at the character and the control requirement of shield machine, this paper chooses the type for the main components of thrust control system, builds up the mathematic models of control system for thrust velocity and thrust pressure, carries through the simulation to the hydraulic system with MATLAB according to the models, carries out simulations of opening loop control, PID control, fuzzy control and fuzzy PID control which gave the jump signal and sine signal. We could educe the perfect control scheme from analyzing and comparing the simulation results. The simulations which the paper made aimed at one hydraulic cylinder, we must set up epistatic machine for realizing grouping and unite control of hydraulic cylinder, we can measure the changes of velocity, pressure, velocity and pressure by sensors, the changes transmitted the signals to epistatic machine which control inferior machines (The paper chooses programmable controller (PLC)), then control the shield machine thrust attitude, the paper had also discussed about these, and compiled the control program. The result through analyze study of simulation indicated to adopt the way which separate the ground control or grouping and unite control can be realized good control to the thrust attitude of shield machine. At last, this paper gave a brief summarization and an expectation on the future work about the study subject.
