Because of the complexity of interaction between the piles and soil, testing to the piles is still the most important way to check out the bearing trait of them. In this paper, some testing methods have been introduced, especially the testing method which combines the high, low response test and the field bearing test, and the methods of data processing. Through the high, low response test and the field bearing test of rock-socketed and excavated belled piles with embedded test element, the characteristics of bearing capacity are analyzed. The action of lateral friction resistance and end resistance of the ones are discussed too.But at the same time, the complexity of project condition, the large outlay spending of testing and the difficulty of pile base testing make the numerical and emulational analysis become another necessary way. In this paper, by the help of software ANSYS, the Q-s curve of rock-socket filling piles and the factors affecting the sedimentations of rock-socket filling piles are analyzed. In the side of application, some important factors affecting single-pile carrying capacity, vertical and horizontal tolerance of piles and pile sedimentations from the point of view of design of bridge pile base are analyzed.
