This paper analyses the problem of reactive-current and negative-sequence power general compensation. In the first part, I analyze the principle and the detection method of reactive-current and negative-sequence power general compensation. Firstly, I introduce the compensation principle, which is based on symmetrical component method. And I discuss the way to calculate the compensation susceptance. Then I give a method to detect reactive-current and negative-sequence power, which is based on the transient reactive power's theory. Based on the analysis of compensation principle and detection method, I introduce the detection and control method of reactive-current and negative-sequence power general compensation. In the second part, I introduce the design of a controller on compensating reactive-current and negative-sequence power. The hardware of the controller includes five parts: main-control module , measurement module, signal export module, switch control module and communication module. The software of the controller includes five parts: initialization module, A/D sample module, control arithmetic module, export control module and communication module. And the experiment show that the controller reaches the anticipative effect. In the third part, I study the reactive-current and negative-sequence power general compensation more deeply. In this part, I bring forward the definition of average complex power and variational complex power. And I also demonstrate method of the current and voltage transformation from one a many-port system to a two-port system. We also show the detection method of instantaneous complex power. The study shows that the detection method based on the complex power method has many advantages over that based on the transient reactive power's theory.
