The safety demolding system is designed for main core demoulding from the NEPE high-energy rocket motor in safety.Solid rocket propellant is a kind of high-energy material. Therefore, the propellant is easy to combustion and detonation. To meet the requriment of demoulding the main core from the propellant grain in safety, the force and the rate of the demoulding should be controlled strictly.At present, the main core demoulding from the propellant grain is mainly by manual operating in the field or pulling out the main core by the crane. In the whole demoulding process of solid rocket motor with HTPB propellant, both the power and the speed cannot be controlled. However, it is necessary to strictly control the power and speed of the demoulding in order to ensure the safety reliability and eliminate unsafe factors in the demoulding process.The safety demoulding system has many functions, such as, remote-controlled operation, computer program control, super low initial speed when demoulding, adjustable upper limit, self-locking protection when power-off or fault operation and aligning guide demoulding etc. The system also equipped the real-time display system, with which the demoulding power and the removing speed can be controlled in order to ensure a sequential demouling in the whole process.The system has been applied in the main core demoulding process for the solid rocket motors with HTPB propellant or NEPE high-energ propellant. The results show that the system's design is effective, and its functions can meet the requirement of the design index.
