There are many factors that made modern high building's graphic layout become increasingly complex and irregular. Those factors including the raising of China economic level, people's aesthetic capacity to building already become more strict than before and the extremely fierce market competition in construction business. Therefore, in high-rise building's design, how to reduce even avoid all kinds of high-rise building's potential damage caused by irregular horizontal layout? It supposes to be carefully considered by all structural designers and engineers.How the torsion eventually lead the structure to the situation that damage occurred even crash? That question always is a highlight issue in structure field especially in high-rise building. Mr. Lin Tongyan first introduced the detail of irregular graphic in his book "the Concept and System of Structure". Moreover, in that book he also set some specific parameter for described how a structure will crashed because of that. When quality centre do not coincide with the stiffness centre, will cause a displacement at the same direction with layer components which have different shift, then the structure will torsion around floor's stiffness centre, in some case, it will resulting in severe damage, even let the whole structure crashed. So in structural design, we have to bring enough attention to the problem of graphic layout irregularities.
