The electronic compass is widely applied as navigation instrument and attitude sensor, and the combination of electronic compass and GPS is considered as a ideal system of heading and orientation. High precise electronic compass plays a realistic role in improving navigation positioning technology and in the development of aviation, navigation and national defense.The paper introduces the operating principle of Honeywell's magnetic resistor and signal regulating technology. this design uses the straps of magnetic resistor sensor to build a PID controlling closed loop, deducts the relation of input and output of PID, optimizes the parameters of PID by experiments.This design realizes that DSP could receive the data from AD by setting McBSP's registers and that DSP could communicate with UART. it deducts the formulas of azimuth angle and attitude angle and uses fixed-point DSP to realize the arithmetic of the angle. by researching the patterns and the steps of Boot Loader it introduces how to build the boot table, and it realizes the function of programming FLASH by online programming technology. High precise electronic compass is primarily developed by analyzing the noise and the results, and improved schemes are shown.
