In this paper, double cylinder shell structure with stiffening ribs is used to solve some problems about the impulsive environment of underwater explosion for submarine structure.1. A new loading method has been described as 'flat section loading method' calculating the ship's underwater non-contact explosion and impact environment with the software of ANSYS/LS-DYNA. This method not only improves the deficiency that the value of pressure peak decreases fast while calculating the pressure of underwater shock but also extraordinarily increases the calculating speed. Therefore it provides some references for the correlative theory research and engineering calculation.2. The paper researched on the rule of impact response for double taper-column shell structure with stiffening ribs subjected to underwater explosion. The result shows that the shock response of structure near the detonator is higher in the near field, and the shock response declines rapidly along with the increasing of the detonator distance. Consequently, the near field explosion is a local problem. For the far field explosive, the shock response of structure is distributed uniformly, and therefore the far field explosion is a whole problem.3. A new impulsive factor is defined to describe the loading of underwater explosion from the viewpoint of energy acted on the structure. The calculate results of some examples indicate that the kinetic energy, potential energy and mean of shock response spectrums of structures are close to each other when the new impulsive factors are equal, but there is much difference from the other two impulsive factors. Therefore the new impulsive factor can be used as the comparability factor to describe the loading of underwater explosion4. Some conclusive project methods and skills are showed as below: a new...
