The paper is based on the research and development of the project named "SINS(Strapdown Inertial Navigation System) based on FOG(Fiber-Optic Gyroscope)".The accuracy of the FOG is primarily affected by temperature bias. This paper is focused on the study of the cause, the regularity and the method of FOG temperature bias.At first, the paper determines the main factors of FOG temperature bias by studyding the working principle of FOG and the thermal property of the main opticators of FOG. And the paper gives a form of temperature error mode.On the base of the theory analysis, we comprehended the states of FOG bias in various temperature environments. And we got the experiment data. Then we gave two methods of FOG temperature error compensation. One is polynomial, the other is Neutral Network. The former, can be used in engineering, is simple and convenient, the latter can't be used because of the complexity of the network. But NN is a good method to solve nonlinear problem and the practicality is to solve.At last, the paper proves that it is essential and effective to compensate the temperature bias.
