Particle Swarm Optimization roots in research on colony movement of bird and fish. It is a kind of evolutive calculational methods based on group brainpower. It is very simple, and the speed of its consringency is very fast. What's more, the knowledge related to is very less. This paper dissuses POS arithmetic and its results. Dynamic variable space method and restart policy is brought forward, because traditional POS arithmetic is easy to run into local minimal spot and its search precision is not very high. The inproved arithmetic is applied to the optimization of PID controller. We can conclude that POS arithmetic has better results compared to trational PID policy. The porfermance of system is also improved. The effect of optimization and consringency characteristic is preferable. In this paper, the simulating model of ship power plant diesel engine timing system and synchronous generator voltage adjusting system is setup based on the discussion of model. The variable is setted for improved POS arithmetic. By simulating, we can conlude that the variable produced by POS arithmetic can the precision and anti-jamming capability of timing system and voltage adjusting system is improved.
