With the increasing prominence of energy depletion and environmental pollution, people is turning to the hybrid electric vehicle and electric vehicle. It has a long distance for pure electric vehicle to go into the markets, because of the weakness of battery technologies .So it is meaningful to develop hybrid electric vehicle. Normally, Hybrid electric vehicles have driving motors and engine as the power devices. Through advanced control systems, the two powertrain systems can work together organically and achieve the best energy distribution to consumption, low pollution and highly automated. So it is one of the key technologies to control the hybrid electric vehicle and their components.Modern electronic control module development process—V model using computer-aided tools to do it, and being able to support the wholly process from the definition of demand to finally products. Using V model to develop electronic control module can shorten the development cycles, save the costs ,and dSPACE simulation platform is an important tool to support this process.Aiming at one of the key technologies in hybrid electric vehicles-the control of driving motor , this article has done comprehensively research on it ,by using dSPACE simulation platform and V model. This article mainly contains : Firstly, this article established system simulation model of a kind of SERIAL hybrid electric vehicle, based on graphics modelling tool- matlab/Simulink., then carried on the simulation to its performance, and this article expatiated the process of establishing models of control unit for brushless DC motor-the driving motor of hybrid electric vehicle, and established the matlab/simulink models for the motor control unit .according to the designed control arithmetic rules, this article established the Rapid Control Prototype system of motor control by using dSPACE simulation platform and operated it. this article designed the two parts of software and hardware of the motor controller, based on the structure and the working principle of the driving system of brushless dc motor. After establishing the models of brushless DC motor, this article simulated the digital models for brushless DC motor and carried on the simulation of hardware in loop for the motor control system, by using dSPACE platform. This article established the testing platform of hybrid electric vehicle and tested it on the real vehicle.The conclusion through the theoretic analysis and testing on the real vehicle:1 .The using efficiency of batteries can be improved if the hybrid electric vehicle works by using the two power system at the same time. And if the batteries being charged only, the serial course can be improved obviously.2.This article has established the Rapid Control Prototype system of motor, and it is able to test the control algorithms quickly, and the test showed that motor control algorithms designed by this article can control the motor correctly ,and set up a good foundation for the motor control system.3.Following the idea of modularization ,this article designed the software and hardware ,and tested them by simulating it in hardware in loop and testing results showed the system works well.4.This article established the testing platform for hybrid electric vehicle ,and tested the system and the results showed that the designed motor control system can control the motor well.
