Odontoscopes have long been used by dentists for the oral checkup of patients. However, this obsolete measure is not ideal for patients to understand diseases, to see what is really happening in nonnasality, not convenient for professionals to diagnose or for disease information to be saved or transferred. With the development of science and technology, the concepts of digitalization and internet have been deepened in the development of dental treatment devices. Their applications include digitization technology of images and its software developing, digitization and transformation of patients' information, intellectualization of devices and real-time monitoring of patients. The digitization technology has developing rapidly with increasingly wider applications. We propose in this thesis, with the demands and under the technological background, to design a digitized intraoral camera system (DICS). By DICS, dentists can conveniently store and long-distance transfer disease information, therefore perform long-distance consultation as well as perform routine oral checkup.
