FEM, a kind of numerical solution method, which has been developed with the wide use of the computer in recent 30 years, it can be used to deal with all sorts of problems of complex soil condition, loading history and boundary condition. It has become a practical and effective means in analyzing geotechniqe problems. This article summaries the basic theory of the deep excavation first, then provides references and scientific basic for model analyses and researches. On the basis of considering soil-structure interaction, a plane FEM model for simulating excavation is established. The model adopts Drucker-prager ideal elastic-plastic stress-strain model, using contact pair element simulate the interface between the wall and soil, soil body use eight-nodes is parametric quadrilateral element, pile use beam element, and anchor rod use space link element.A plane FMD imitated the support structure of the deep foundation pit, studied the laws of structural loads and deformation, the influences on the behaviors of excavation are discussed due to the stiffness of the retaining wall, the prestess of the pile on the support structure in this paper. The study has guidable roles in design and optimization design of retaining structure.
