Structural morphology of the long-span architectures design breaks through the traditional idea that structure is a mere technical means, and explores the role of structure in the creation of architectural form in a new perspective. After analyzing a host of cases in which the structure technique has had great influence in architectural forms about long-span archit-ectures,the realistic demand in field of architectural functiong, form, enviroment, technique, and social culture psychology is discussed ess-entially in this thesis.we draw conclusion from analysis that, the un-ification of architectural and structure should have the point of co-mbination with structural morphology ,and point out the problems dur-ing the exercising of structure expression in the past .Based on the above analyses, an innovated way of design is put forth that we build the architectural form with structural morphology. we can be inspired from the law in mechanics and in the nature. We can regard the structural components as the"sign"and"language"expressing architectural forms. By depicting intricate .graphic space with geometric form, we can create rational and pure structural configuration. In the form of analysissitus, the potential of structural morphology can be exercised to full extent and the transformation of architectural forms will he unrestricted and more diverse. Thus, the structural configuration offers luxuriant headspring to architecture creation.Long-span architectures is an embodiment of integral invention which involves many factors like function, technology, art, economy and so on. During the design process in which all kinds of information is handled comprehensively, the ultimate target is to create eye-catching architecture form with structural morphology.
