There are a few of primary facts that influenced the stability of slopes, such as rock's structure surface, underground water, open mining and underground mining, dynamite etc. It is very important for designing safe slopes and maintaining these slopes to analyze quantificationally and appraise the stability of slopes influenced by the primary facts. There are some traditional stability analysis methods, such as limit equilibrium method, finite element method, and intelligent rock mechanics method, which exist some relative disadvantage, but it is RFPA-Slope analysis procedure basing on the Strength Degradation principle that considers the inhomogeneity of geomaterials, the tension and shear fracture mechanism, which made RFPA-Slope program analyze roundly the fracture model of geomaterials. It also simulates dynamically the gradual failure progress of the slope, search automatically the slide surface when the slope is breaking down. Thus in this paper, with RFPA-Slope analysis procedure as well as FLAC program, being combined with some projects, the stability of slopes influenced by the primary facts of rock's structure surface, underground water, open pit and underground mining, was analyzed quantificationally and qualitatively. The following work is completed in this paper:1. RFPA-Slope analysis procedure basing on the strength degradation principle was firstly introduced systematically, and then RFPA-Slope analysis procedure was applied to the stability analysis of earth slopes. At last validated with GEO-Slope procedure, the stability coefficient of earth slopes was right, thereby this showed that RFPA-Slope analysis procedure was very fit for analyzing the slope's stability.2. Through analyzing the distortion rule of rock slopes with single weak structure surface and double groups of weak structure surface with RFPA-Slope analysis procedure, that the failure surface of slopes have developed along the weak structure surfaces near the slide surface was found. Thus it is the weak structure surfaces near the slide surface that make a dominant difference in...
