With the booming development of the technology and society, the study and the use of steel structures turns out to be more and more prevalent in recent years. Whereas the steel structure is often affected various factors in its service, such as design load, construction, surroundings and human resources, the quality of the structural material changes, and damages occur, which all are contributing to its deterioration. The internal force and distortion of the worse ones will probably beyond the permission, thus endangers normal use and safety of the overall structure. In allusion to the problem of the electric resistance sensor, the optical sensor and the vibrating wire sensor. In this paper we make a research on the stress-magneto-electric effects for steel structure material. The experiment system was set up to investigate the effect of stress-magneto-electric on Steel Structure Material. By measuring the generation of electromotive force of the HPR235( φ 25) and HRB335 ( (_|φ) 25) in the whole process of axial compression, we find, there is thecorresponding relation of trial data between the generation of electromotive force and the stress-stain. The test curve is reproducible and regular law of change.Through the researches above, this paper set up the fundamental theory modal and the corresponding theory expression between the stress-strain and the generation of electromotive force. The data shows that the relation is linear and relativity modulus r is above 0.9901.The problem of engineering application, on measuring method of the Stress-Magneto-Electric of steel structure was approached in depth and certain valuable development projects were proposed. By research, we hope offer a new basic measuring method on the steel structure in service.
