In this article, according to the structure of Armature which is the core part of an Electrodynamic Vibration Shaker, a three-degree equivalent dynamic model is set up and then the quick calculating formula of the first-order axial harmonic frequency of Armature is educed. With the use of software such as Pro/ENGINEER, a three-dimensional parameterized model of Armature is set up and on the base of which, some work including meshing, loading and field definition can be dealt with Patran software. After that, Nastran software is used in the finite element model of Armature to have research on structure dynamics; through the modal analysis, the first-order axial harmonic frequency of Armature is attained; through the frequency response analysis, shock response analysis as well as random vibration analysis then, the response of Armature under different excitation is got and the structure strength of Armature is also checked. Besides, a sensitivity analysis on some important design parameters of Armature is carried out and according to the results, the structure of Armature is optimized. Finnally, dynamic verification and structure strength check are handled. With all data calcalated basically tallying with the actual testing ones, it means that this way of research used in this field is of utility, efficiency and reliability.
