Fluorescent is a low pressure mercury-smoke arc discharge lamp. It is important in the field of lighting for its characters of high light efficiency, high softness, long life level and convenience of being made into fancy lantern. Electronic ballast is a part of starting and current-limiting of fluorescent. Electronic ballast can provide optimum parameter for fluorescence lamp when it reaches best match for strip lamp, increasing light efficiency and reliability of the system, prolonging life level of the strip lamp. With the china's Green Lighting and Energy-saving projects, it is urgent to develop a kind of lighting system with low EMI, high efficiency, multi-function, durability and practicality.In the paper, several deficiencies are analyzed first, and then two design proposals- 400V DC collective lighting and 400V AC collective lighting, are introduced. Compared with 400V AC collective lighting, 400V DC collective lighting is superior and then adopted. In the detailed design proposal, the composition and function of main and auxiliary systems are discussed and passed experiment.In the main system, 100 Electronic ballasts are replaced by a large-power APFC AC-DC transformer. With DC 400V, there is no AC voltage-drop, thus it is benefit to reducing transport current and ohmic loss.In the auxiliary system, a simple special electronic ballasts realizes rational match, increasing the lightening efficiency and prolonging the life level of strip lamp. Power line carrier mode is adopted in the communication between the main and the auxiliary systems. The main system controls the auxiliary system, starts up the auxiliary systems in sequence, so that reduce the power volume of the main system.In this system, existing resources are fully used. It also characterized for small THD and EMI, energy-saving, convenience using and low cost.
