At present, it is backward to the design method and idea of the mountainous freeway landscape in China. Moreover, it does not have the mature assessment method and lacks the consummation the appraisal system to the evalution of mountainous freeway. It is disadvantageous to the landscape construction of mountainous freeway. Basing on the particular analysis about the actuality of the highway landscape on our country, combining the domestic and foreign projects practice, the text advances the intention, content, principle and measure of the designing about the highway landscape. In view of the designing and research about various landscapes element, it introduces three dimensional animation and Virtual Reality & Simulation technology landscape briefly which based on the Digital Terrain Model of mountainous freeway. This article analyses the appraisal characteristic of mountainous highway landscape detailedly, it proposes the significance, the scope and the rationale about landscape evaluation. It carries on filtering the landscape indicators in this foundation, and constructs indicator set which is suitable for the mountainous freeway landscape evaluation. Through introducing the level analytic method and the AHP multi-level fuzzy synthesis evaluation, two traditional landscape evaluative methods, this article unifies the success experience in other domain evaluation on our country. It has studied the method and the evaluative step about the multi-level grey system theory in the mountainous freeway landscape evaluation first time, and proposes the three-dimensional space animation view evaluation. At the same time, according to the characteristics of the mountainous freeway landscape evaluation, this article introduces evaluative procedure of the mountainous freeway landscape by the numbers, and bases on Visual the C++ 6.0 platforms, uses the multi-level grey system theory to develop the mountainous freeway landscape evaluative system which causes the evaluative process to be simple and direct-viewing. The mountainous freeway landscape design and the evaluative research by the numbers in this article, has the instruction significance to our country mountainous area highway ecology route selection, the landscape construction and the landscape management maintenance. The evaluative indicator set and the evaluative method, which this article proposes, has the model function to other road landscape constructions in our country.
