Since the reform and opening-up, the bridge cause gets rapid development in China, especially the building of batch of ultra-long span cable supported bridges makes our country fast stride in the bridge powerful country line. However, recent years the problem of bridge cable system endurance starts presenting, especially the cable-stayed bridge's frequent changing of cable because of corrosion inactivation in short period influences the bridge normal application life span severely. At the same time, builds-up of tremendous economic losses and personnel casualty, makes heavy bear towards our society. So study on the bridge cable system corrosion is extremely urgent and must got enough recognition.This paper is the important ingredient of "Bridge Steel Structure Component and Cable System Life Circle Design Guide Rule Study" which is the subsidiary subject of "Bridgework Life Circle Design Theory and Method Study" that belongs to Nation west traffic construction science and technology item. The paper is established in the bridge cable system. Major introduces and analyzes the cable system corrosion of cable-stayed bridge.Towards the bridge cable system corrodent destruction form and mechanics, this paper rounded introduces the bridge corrosion environment, especially does focal point analysis and introduction about atmospheric corrosion, associating the atmospheric circulation circumstances establishes region partition map of national atmospheric corrosion.
