The rotor profile, structure, space and secondary development of the Outside Piston pump are analyzed in this paper. Meantime, the original side about structure is studied. In the end, the optimum design method is presented. The main work includes:1. Based on the analysis of rotor running situation, the maths model of dead region between rotor and fix spindle is carried out. Then, the optimization maths formula of rotor profile is deduced firstly which lays the theory foundation and fills-up the theory gap of rotor profile design of the Outside Piston Pump. Moreover, the theory curve picture of the rotor optimal profile is shown by MATLAB software. In the end, it is certified by experiment that amendment optimization profile can improve cavitaion property of the pump significantly.2. Based on the detailed analysis of the force situation on drive-shaft and driven-shaft and the traditional cantilever structure of the Outside Piston Pump, the original structure which is simply supported structure is presented. Then, the traditional structure and original structure are analyzed and compared by theory and ANSYS software. A Outside Piston Pump is applied the china patent.3. Based on the detailed analysis of the sealing situation in space of the pump and the model of parallel plank space, the best space,no-leaking space and leakage flow formula of the pump's radial space and axial space are deduced. Moreover, the case space is analyzed by FLUENT software.4. The rotor secondary development of the Outside Piston Pump is finished by AutoCAD VBA. It is certified by the application of case that the rotor secondary development can improve the pump design efficiency significantly.The originality and optimal design of the pump deeply are studied in this paper. Meantime, some advanced results are shown. Particularly, the optimization maths formula and original structure is very important in improving the pump quality. In the end, some no-perfect place in study work and some study work which is done in future are shown in this paper.
